Carpet grippers are often nailed to a wooden subfloor or concrete subfloor, if this is not possible, they can sometimes be stuck down with adhesive. 

They are made from wood with small spikes and can be cut to size. Using grippers can prevent carpet from moving. They are usually used with secondary back carpets and underlay.

Carpet grippers are fitted prior to laying carpet and easy to install.
